Christine Garcia

Christine Garcia is a veteran educator with twenty three years of experience teaching primary high school band, choir, orchestra and jazz ensembles in the state of Arizona. She has recently moved back to Indiana to be closer to her family. She is married to Vincent who is an accomplished musician and music teacher. They have two children: Carmen, who is in middle school, and Vincent jr. who is a senior in high school. Christine enjoys outdoor sports with a long lasting passion for aquatic safety as a swim and lifeguard instructor. In the summer time she loves traveling around the country visiting national parks and local attractions, she has currently been to forty-eight of the fifty states.

Lola and Pepper are two cats along with Rae (named after the female Star Wars Jedi) a small dog that reside with the Garcia family.

Christine loves learning new things, but feels she is only truly knowledgeable in music and aquatics. Her hope is to instill a love of the arts to her students, that they will advocate for the purpose of creativity and inclusion. "We don't have to like all types of music, but we can respect an artist for their gift."
