All scholarships must be returned by Wednesday, March 13, 2024 by 3:30 p.m. to the main guidance office.

Awarded to a Plymouth High School graduate who is planning to attend a vocational or trade school in the state of Indiana. Student must be a B/C student.

Staff Sergeant Justin DeCrow Memorial Scholarship – $500
Use Common Application
Must be a senior with a GPA. of 2.5 or higher and must have community service experience. This scholarship is non-renewable and to be used for higher education expenses.

Delta Theta Tau Scholarship – $1,000

Todd Edwards Memorial Scholarship  – $900

Walter A. Glaub Scholarship – $1,000

Two scholarships will be awarded. Applicants must be a resident and attend high school in Marshall County. The scholarship will be awarded using the following criteria: Community Service-40%, Scholastics-20%, Intended Major-20%, Extracurricular Activities-20%

Timothy J. Hochstetler Scholarship – $975 each
Use Common Application   
Award must be applied towards expenses in an accredited college or institution of advanced training. Two scholarships will be awarded to either a senior male or female who has shown outstanding performance in athletics; Male applicants must letter in baseball, football, or wrestling. Female applicants must letter in any sport.

Hoosier Old Wheels Scholarship – $1,000

Open to any student attending post-secondary education program. There is no formal GPA requirement. Student must be focusing on a degree or certificate program in automotive, industrial, or mechanical studies.

Hoosier Old Wheels is an automotive hobbyist club that was formed in 1971, dedicated to preserving classic cars and promoting the future growth of the industry and hobby.

Hoosier Tire Scholarship - $1,000 - Two scholarships will be awarded.

Eligible applicants are those pursuing a degree or advanced certification with full-time enrollment at any accredited technical, two-year, or four-year institution within the state of Indiana in one or more of the following programs: Accounting, Automation Robotics, Business Management, Chemical Engineering, Human Relations, Industrial Engineering, IT Logistics Mechanical Engineering or related fields. The applicant must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.80 on a 4 point scale. Awards will be merit and financial need-based and will be given to students who are not receiving multiple scholarships.

Bruce Huff Memorial Scholarship - $500

Eligible applicants will be interested in pursuing studies in the trades. One letter of recommendation is required, and the award will be based on academic, community and personal merit and/or financial need.

Sanford O. Jacox Memorial Scholarship – $1,500

To be applied towards educational expenses. Preference given to students ranking below the top 10% of the class who plan to attend an accredited institution in either the field of industrial tech or vocational education.

Nancy Jaynes Scholarship Fund – $1,000
Use Common Application
Must plan to further his/her studies in Family and Consumer Science or Culinary Arts at an accredited public or private institution of higher learning. Must possess a positive attitude with a compassion for helping others. Preference will be given to a student who participates in community service related to cancer awareness.

Robert E. and Helen L. Kirkley Memorial Scholarship – $2,000

The purpose of the fund is to provide a scholarship to a senior of Plymouth High School, Plymouth, Indiana. The scholarship is to be awarded to a student majoring in engineering.

Given to a senior who is a practicing Catholic active in St. Michael's or St. Mary's of the Lake Parish. Must be applied towards an accredited college, university, trade or technical school in the fall.

Kitty Lockridge and the Class of 1967 Scholarship Fund – $450
Use Common Application
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to graduates of Plymouth High School, one in the area of business education and one in the area of consumer sciences.

Marohn Scholarship – $500
Use Common Application Plus Attachment
Three are given. Must be applied towards expenses in an accredited trade or technical school. Show proof of acceptance into a post-secondary school that is goal oriented in the Vocational Trades area. Applicants must be resident of and attend a Marshall County high school.

Marshall County Blueberry Festival Scholarship – $ Varies $
Use Common Application
Three scholarships will be awarded. Student must have a strong background in community service and extracurricular activities with special attention given to volunteer time during the Blueberry Festival in parking or helping before, during, or after the festival. Recipient must be a Marshall County resident.

Marshall County F.O.P. 130 Scholarship – $500

Use Common Application PLUS you must pick up another application in the guidance office that goes along with this scholarship.
Given to a graduating student who is pursuing a Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement field of study. Must be a resident of Marshall County.

Masterson Family Scholarship - $ 1,000

Given to a graduating student who is pursuring further education in a business-related field as a full-time student enrolled at any accredited technical institution, or any accredited two-year institution, or an accredited four-year institution, and any accredited post-graduate degree institution

Preference is given to students who will be attending an accredited vocational school. Students planning to attend a college or university may also apply.

Crystal M. Metsker Scholarship – $1,000

The Merc Foundation -$5,000

Use Common Application - Plus Attachment

Must be a male student-athlete and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and must be attending a vocational/technical school or an accredited college or university. The applicant must have earned an athletic varsity letter as a manager or athlete. The applicant does not need to excel in athletics, but have a strong interest in athletics. The applicant must also acquire a letter of recommendation from a Plymouth High School teacher or coach outlining the applicant's qualifications.

Marian and Stephen Wayne Munn Agriculture Scholarship – $450

Sergeant Jason L. Nemeth Memorial Scholarship – $1,000

Scholarship recipient must be a graduating senior having achieved a high school cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Ounce of Prevention Scholarship – $1,000

This scholarship is to benefit anyone who has been touched by cancer or has been an active volunteer for the “Ounce Of Prevention Breast Cancer Fund” in Plymouth, IN. Must be enrolled at an accredited college, university, trade or vocational school for the fall. This scholarship is open to all seniors that attend a Marshall County school.

James and Josephine Paiano Memorial Fund - $1,000

This scholarship is available to Plymouth High School students who are residents of Center or West Township in Marshall County, IN. The applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale planning to enroll full-time to pursue higher education or certification at a technical, two-year, or four-year institution. Preference will be given to a student with financial need.

Palbykin Aviation Scholarship Fund - $750

This scholarship is available to a student or students enrolled in aviation courses while attending Plymouth High School, Plymouth, Indiana, with interest in learning to fly or pursuing a career associated with aviation.

Payne Stewart/Pretty Lake Golf Club Scholarship – $1,000

This scholarship has been created in honor of the legendary golfer Payne Stewart and the many great qualities he possessed. Must have completed minimum of two athletic seasons on the high school golf team during high school career and have not committed any violations of IHSAA or School’s Code of Conduct. Robert P. Pickell Memorial Scholarship Fund – $1,000

This scholarship has been created in honor of Robert P. Pickell. The purpose of the fund is to provide one or more annual scholarships to a Plymouth High School senior residing in Marshall County, Indiana. The applicant must be a graduating senior with a minimum of 3.0 GPA, intending to pursue a music and/or theatrical related major or minor from any accredited four-year institution. Preference may be given to a student planning to attend Ball State University. The award will be merit based. Two letters of recommendation may be required in addition to an essay on the student's goals for the future.

Ray L. Price Scholarship – $5,000 Renewable

Must be a graduate of Plymouth High School, a homeschooled or online student who has successfully achieved high school equivalency and resides in Center or West Township, Marshall County, Indiana. The applicant must plan to be a full-time student enrolled at an accredited two or four year college, university or technical school with an interest in pursuing a higher level of certification or degree in education, ministry, or horticulture. The applicant must have maintained a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and shall demonstrate potential for college success by virtue of recommendation.

Bob Read Wrestling Scholarship Fund - $700

The purpose of the fund is to provide an annual scholarship to a Plymouth High School senior. The applicant must be a graduating senior who has excelled in the sport of high school wrestling. Recipient to be chosen by criteria as established at the Plymouth High School.

William E. Shemberger Music Scholarship – $2,500

Must be attending an accredited college or institution of advanced training. Applicants must have shown outstanding abilities in the area of instrumental music.

St. Michael School Scholarship – $500

Open to Plymouth High School seniors planning to attend an accredited college/university or trade school. Applicants must have attended St. Michael School and participated in at least 1 Inter-City Catholic League (ICCL) sport. Two scholarships will be given.

Julia Yockey Shakes Scholarship – $350

This scholarship will be awarded to a senior of Plymouth High School. The scholarship is for either a C average student or students with disability who have worked hard to attain their goal of education to an accredited vocational, technical trade school, or an accredited college of university. The recipient should have good moral standards and be a part of a low income family.

Speech: Daniel Tyree Scholar Speaker Scholarship – $2,350
Provide one or more annual scholarships to a Plymouth High School Senior(s). The applicant(s) must be a graduating senior who is a member of the top 20% of their class, and a member of the PHS Speech & Debate Team. If you are applying for the Stephen Jeffirs and/or Christina Gibbs scholarships, and are in the top 20% of your class, you will automatically be eligible for consideration for the Daniel Tyree Scholar Speaker scholarship. If you do not plan to apply for the Jeffirs or Gibbs scholarships, but wish to be considered for the Dan Tyree Scholar Speaker Scholarship, please see Mrs. Tyree for more information.

Coach Teall Memorial Scholarship – $1,000 Renewable

This scholarship is designed to recognize a male or female track athlete seeking further education. This scholarship is not academic performance based; so, all senior male or female track athletes with at least four years of participation in the track and field program are encouraged to apply.

Theatre Department: Outstanding Senior Stage Crew Student Scholarship – $ Varies $

Must have a minimum of 5 credits in Stage Crew classes. (Does not include the beginning technical theatre class.) Must have crewed for a minimum of 2 children’s show performances. (Does not include crewing for the beginning technical theatre class.)

Craig Woolfington Memorial Scholarship – $1,000

Must be a permanent resident of Marshall County and in the current graduating class. Applicant must be attending Purdue University (full-time) in the fall. Must be in the top 25% of class and must demonstrate participation in school and extra-curricular activities.

La Voz Unida Scholarship - $500

Use Common Application - Plus Attachment 

Awarded to a current senior graduate of Plymouth High School of Latino/Hispanic descent. Prefernece is given to 1st in their family to continue their studies. They must demonstrate a financial need and have good grades. Demonstrate a record of service and involvement in the community, active participation in the Hispanic/Latino community. Student must be enrolled to attend an accredited college/university or trade school. Two scholarships will be given and it is non-renewable.
