Plymouth High School Presents Variety Show

The Plymouth High School Variety Show will be held on Friday, May 12, and Saturday, May 13, 2017, in the PHS Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7.00 at the door. The event is open to the public and doors open on both evenings at 7:00 p.m. for general seating.

At the end of every school year, the Plymouth High School Performing Arts Department comes together to present either a musical or a variety show. This year is a variety show year. The theme for this year’s show is the 1970’s, and the title of this year’s production is, "That PHS 70's Show."

Plymouth High School Theatre Teacher Jane Faulstich, who is one of the four directors of the production said, “This year’s Variety Show is a play off of the TV show and the Variety Show.” Variety shows of the 1970's for example are TV shows that shaped the decade such as, The Jacksons, The Carol Burnett Show, and Hee Haw just to name a few.

The Plymouth High School Choir, Band, and Theatre departments will all come together with songs, dances, and skits that connect with the 1970’s in a fun way. The performance of "That PHS 70's Show," is sure to entertain the entire family and at the same time, will likely shed some light for the younger generations about what the era of 70’s style TV sitcoms were like.
