Scholarship/Financial Aid Information

  • Collegeboard is once again hosting the Realize Your College Potential program. In September, about 92,000 students in the class of 2018 will receive a customized mailing from the College Board, designed to connect them with personalized tools they can use to explore potential colleges and manage the application process. An additional 98,000 students will receive similar information via email, and 26,000 students will receive letters accompanied by free SAT® score reports and/or college application fee waivers. Some of the recipients are students at your school.  If you receive any of this information and have questions, you can get more information at Access to Opportunity™ and/or contact your counselor
  • Senior Members of the National Honor Society:  Applications for the 2017–18 National Honor Society (NHS) Scholarship Program will open on October 6. All NHS senior members in good standing will be eligible to apply. In order to do so you will need to begin gathering:
  • Three recommendations. Applicants will be asked for an email address for recommenders. So you should be gathering email addresses for and enlisting support from:
    • Mrs. Portteus or Mrs. Felke
    • Mr. Condon
    • another teacher
  • You will need to detail participation or leadership in your three most significant individual service activities or projects. Consider your response now.
  • You can also visit www.nhs.us/scholarship to watch a quick video about the scholarship.  More information will be provided as it arrives
