Other Information/Opportunities

  • PHS will be giving the PSAT on Wednesday, Oct 11 during periods 1-4 to all SOPHOMORES and JUNIORS.  For these students, the PSAT is a way to
    • Qualify for dual credit status
    • Prove College/Career Readiness skills (thus avoiding some further testings)
    • For JUNIORS, it is also the test that qualifies one for National Merit Scholarships

You should have received a PSAT Student Guide in your Home Room on the day we did Pre-Administration work.  If you did not, or you would like another, you can pick up a Student Guide in the Guidance Office.  It will help you be better prepared to test.

  • FRESHMEN will be participating in College & Career Conversation Workshops the morning of PSAT testing.  More information to follow soon.
  • Picture Retakes are Tuesday, September 26 from 10:30am - 12:30pm in the North hallway.  You can pick up a form from your Home Room Teacher or get one in the front office.
  • Senior Loren Mattern is organizing a 5K Against Domestic Violence.  She would like to encourage you to participate.  Here is the information you need:
    • Time: October 7th 9-2 pm at Young Amphitheater across from PHS.
