Maintenance workers Ron Lovejoy, Mike Oyler, and Josh Soria, along with Director of Facilities Dave Schoof and Assistant Director Troy Amor, arrived at work at 1:30 a.m to plow parking lots, spread salt, and prepare for the morning. Head custodians Norman McCarthy, Donna Stiles, Shaunna Bennett, Tony Soria, Ryan Shanyfelt, and Matthew Crandall joined them at 5:00 a.m, shoveling walkways to keep entrances clear and safe. A special shoutout to Josh Soria, who went above and beyond by plowing, salting, and shoveling all in one morning as he was covering an additional building.
This kind of dedication plays a vital role in ensuring our schools are safe and learning can be made possible, even during harsh winter conditions.
Thank you to each of these hardworking individuals—we appreciate your commitment and the important work you do behind the scenes.

Congratulations to our Riverside 6th-grade students on completing the D.A.R.E. program, led by Officer Matt Emenhiser and Officer Bridget Hite from the Plymouth Police Department! A special shoutout to Madison Green, our essay competition winner, who, along with other finalists, went through an extensive selection process and presented her essay to the entire grade! The final celebration was a memorable event, with Mayor Robert Listenberger joining us to recognize this important milestone. Check out the Pilot news in the coming days to read all about it!

It’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and we are incredibly thankful for our amazing School Resource Officers, Bridget Hite and Steve DeLee!
Today, we asked them to share some of their favorite memories as SROs. Corporal Hite reflected on a moment when a former student reached out just to thank her for listening — a powerful reminder of her lasting impact of compassion and connection. She also cherishes seeing students grow over the years, with hugs and smiles often greeting her in the hallways.
Officer DeLee said he’s collecting many special memories, but one that stands out is connecting with a nonverbal student — a moment of shared understanding and joy that he’ll always hold close. He loves the daily opportunity to build relationships with students and the community, calling his role the best-kept secret in law enforcement.
Our students adore both officers, and we are so grateful for the care, kindness, and protection they bring to our school community every single day. Thank you, Corporal Hite and Officer DeLee!

‘Tis the season of giving...and some friendly competition!
Plymouth High School's SEED Club continued its annual “Give Back for Christmas” initiative with a 5th-period competition to collect the most non-perishable food and toiletries for the Marshall County Neighborhood Center. Mrs. Schemenauer’s class led the charge with 174 items, followed by Mrs. Edmiston’s class with 128 items.
The generosity didn’t stop there—PHS teachers donated $280 to further support local families. SEED Club members, led by President Elizabeth Kruyer and Vice President Troy Hundt, delivered the donations, spreading holiday cheer and demonstrating the power of giving back to the community.
