The Lady Red Storm was again on the road against local rival Bremen. Bremen took a 7-4 lead behind 6 points by Jess Yelaska. The Lady Red Storm shooting was cold during the first half. The team came out on fire fueled by stifling defense and hot shooting, they took back the lead after 3 quarters, 19-9. The Red Storm team moved to 8-0 with a solid 23-9 win. Leading the team in scoring was Summer South with 7, followed by Sara Hunter, and Clare Sheedy with 5 points each. Kami Burkett, Lexi Rose, and Hannah Friberg closed out the scoring with 2 points apiece. Sheedy controlled by the glass with 8 rebounds on the night. On the defensive side of the ball, South, Rose, Hunter, and Lauren Rumpler had 2 steals each. Next up for the 8th grade Lady Red Storm group is a B team tourney that they are hosting this Saturday. First game for the B team squad is 9 a.m. The A team returns to action on Thursday as they host LaVille, game time is approximately 6 p.m.
