The 8th grade Lady Red Storm hosted Urey for Lincoln’s “Fill the Bleacher” night in their season finale. Urey flew out to a 7-0 lead behind their tough inside outside duo while the Red Storm couldn’t get anything going offensively. After a timeout to regroup, Lincoln closed the deficit to 11-7 at the end of the first quarter. Urey and Lincoln kept the see-saw action going until the half as the visitors clung to a 2 point lead. The Red Storm turned up their defensive pressure and got their offense going in the third quarter as they took a 22-15 lead. The Red Storm earned a tough 25-21 victory and finished their season with a 15-3 record. Leading the Red Storm in scoring was Summer South with 10 followed by Clare Sheedy with 6. Sara Hunter added 3 points while Lexi Rose, Madie Mann and Hannah Friberg added 2 points each to round out the scoring. Kami Burkett, Lauren Rumpler and Sydney Rice contributed to the win. Thanks to the parents, student body, and Lincoln Red Storm fans who supported the team during the season. Next up is the sports banquet on Thursday at 7 p.m.
