LJH was in action on Tuesday night when they hosted the New Prairie Cougars. LJH came out sluggish and confident after beating the Cougars earlier in the year by 12. Tonight was a different New Prairie team. They moved the ball well and hit open shots, jumping out to a quick 10 to 2 lead. The Red Storm needed to match the intensity of the Cougars or they were going to get destroyed. In the second quarter, LJH came out with a full-court pressed, which caused some issues for New Prairie and LJH was able to go into half only down 19 to 20. In the third quarter, the Red Storm continued their pressure and were able to take a 34 to 29 lead going into the last quarter. In the 4th quarter, too many turnovers and missed layups led to a 12 to 4 run by the Cougars and New Prairie came away with the win 41 to 38. LJH will be in action on Monday, the 11th when they play Triton.
