Music

Sue Cook is now in her fourth year teaching in Plymouth Schools. She graduated from Ball State University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with minors in piano, voice and Spanish. In 2017, she decided to enroll in the Transition to Teaching program at Indiana Wesleyan and received her Bachelor’s in Music Education in 2018. Prior to teaching in Plymouth, she taught for two years in South Bend. For many years she has been a piano accompanist, taught private piano lessons, assisted in schools, and performed as a musician in various capacities. Music is her life, and she loves sharing it with her students in the classroom!

Sue and her husband, Kip, love to travel and especially love spending time in a few favorite spots in Michigan. They recently purchased a fishing boat and love to take that out to enjoy the lake and fish. They have a sweet dog, Piper, as well as their two cats, Fi and Syl. Between them they have 5 children, all grown, and 7 grandchildren whom they love spending time with.

As well, Sue spends precious time with her mom and enjoys spending time with all of her family. She is also a keyboardist and vocalist in a duo with her friend and music partner, Joe, who plays bass. They enjoy performing at restaurants and wineries several times a month.
