What? The Lady Pilgrims will be holding eight skill development nights in the month of September. The girls high school basketball staff will be there to coach and instruct our fourth graders on skills like lay ups, form shooting, passing, defensive stance, rebounding, and introduce the motion offense that we will be running at the high school level. Most of the time each night will consist of skill development, while the last 10 - 20 minutes will be an opportunity for the girls to scrimmage and practice the skills that they have learned, along with the offense. They will not have the same girls on their team each night. When they come in the gym, they will receive a pinny and girls with the same color will be grouped together for skill development and for the scrimmage.
Why? My goal is to start our girls off at a young age learning the terminology, drills, and offense that we run in high school so that by time they get to the high school level, they are prepared. They will also have the opportunity to meet the high school staff along with some of our high school players. I believe it will motivate and encourage our 4th graders to continue working on their game and give them something to look forward to!
When? We will start at 6:15 p.m. and go until 7:30 p.m. on nights of our 4th grade elementary developmental program. There are eight dates in the month of September that we will work with the girls and they are as follows:

- Tuesday, September 14
- Wednesday, September 15
- Tuesday, September 21
- Thursday, September 23
- Tuesday, September 28
- Wednesday, September 29
Where? We will be holding these sessions at Lincoln Junior High School where we held winter league. It is a beautiful gym that holds lots of baskets and courts.
Cost? The cost to sign up will be $10 and that fee will cover the cost of a shirt each girl will receive. You will pay the $10 fee on the first night of development.
