Emily and Ray found out on Friday, March 1st that they were the writing contest winners. In addition, a feature on the school’s morning announcement the following week on March 5th was done.

The goal was for students to create a “monster” out of everyday objects. Both submissions were detailed and included, characters, setting, plot, and best of how all, how to defeat their monster.

The winners will attend a meet-and-greet March 7th, they will receive an autographed copy of a book by Troy Cummings, and an award/certificate.

The Young Authors' Conference will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Culver Elementary School Gym (west entrance). Book sales will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the award ceremony and conference will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will end at 8:00 p.m.
