Michael Wraight

Michael Wraight is a proud alumnus of Plymouth High School, Class of 1995. Building on that strong foundation, he pursued higher education at Indiana State University. In 2001, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation, followed by a Master of Science in Career & Technical Education in 2021.

Prior to his teaching career, Michael spent seven fulfilling years as an airline pilot, flying for American Eagle Airlines. After his time in the aviation industry, he felt a calling to make a difference in the lives of young learners. Returning to his hometown of Plymouth, Indiana, after living in Puerto Rico and Tucson, Arizona, he joined the faculty of Plymouth High School.

Currently, he teaches engaging courses in Digital Manufacturing, Robotics, and Construction. Additionally, he has the honor of serving as the head coach of the Plymouth Robotics Team, fostering creativity, teamwork, and innovation among students.

Outside of the classroom, Michael finds joy in a variety of hobbies and interests. Model airplanes and drones have always fascinated him. Woodworking allows him to unleash his creativity and create beautiful and functional objects. Camping in the great outdoors rejuvenates him and allows him to connect with nature. Additionally, he has a deep appreciation for travel, with the Yucatan Peninsula being a particularly captivating destination for him.

Michael is dedicated to equipping his students with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration they need to succeed. With his passion for education and diverse range of interests, he strives to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that prepares students for the ever-evolving world.
