2020 Senior Awards

Class of 2020

PHS Class of 2020 Senior Awards annual program announces scholarship winners

Every school year, Plymouth High School holds the end of the year Senior Awards Assembly in the varsity gymnasium. The event is not only a schoolwide assembly but is opened to the community.  This celebration highlights the millions of dollars in grants and scholarships awarded to our well deserving seniors. The excitement and anticipation can be felt throughout the gymnasium.

PHS continued the tradition of the program today with a virtual awards assembly.

Each year senior class members are encouraged to apply for community grants and scholarships. The guidance department works with senior applicants to ensure the requirements of the scholarship and/or grant are met.  Throughout the school year, dozens of seniors applied and interviewed for hundreds of grants and open scholarship opportunities. Individual hosts choose a candidate or candidates to receive their monetary award. These awards help defer the cost of the student’s continuing education goals.

Many grants and/or scholarships were not revealed until today’s virtual program. PHS Director of Guidance Aimee Portteus said, “regardless if the program is virtual or in-person this annual event would not be possible if it wasn't for the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations in Plymouth, Marshall County, and surrounding communities. On behalf of the entire PCSC and PHS administration, we want to congratulate all of the students who received recognition in the form of a grant or scholarship for their Plymouth High School academic accomplishments today. We are so proud of you all and we thank the community for never letting our students down.”
