The Indiana Department of Education, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, and INvestEd hosted the FAFSA and Scholar Success Program Completion Awards last week in Indianapolis. Plymouth High School was recognized as one of the top high schools in the Hoosier state to have at least 70% of their seniors complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for post education. PHS Director of Guidance, Aimee Portteus and PHS College and Career Coordinator Kelsey Flynn were honored to represent PHS to accept the award at a special ceremony at the State House in Indianapolis last Wednesday.

Students fill out the FAFSA® to apply for federal aid for college, career school, or graduate school. The program also provides grants, work-study funds, and loans to students who qualify. After filling out the forms, the financial aid office at the student’s college or career school will determine how much financial aid they are eligible to receive.
