Superintendent

Welcome from the Superintendent

Greetings, and thank you for visiting the Plymouth Community School Corporation website!

I’m Mitch Mawhorter, and it’s both an honor and a privilege to serve as Superintendent of PCSC. Plymouth, Indiana, is more than just the name of our school district—it’s a vibrant, close-knit community that embodies the spirit of collaboration, growth, and pride. Being part of a school system so closely aligned with the city it serves is a rare and wonderful experience, and I am filled with gratitude to be leading in such a special place.

Here in Plymouth, the connection between our schools and the community is not only strong—it’s inspiring. Whether at a school event, the beloved Blueberry Festival, the local Farmer’s Market, or the lively Latino Festival, you can feel the heartbeat of a city that deeply values education, culture, and togetherness.

Our schools are uniquely enriched by this community spirit. Places like Centennial Park—where athletics, recreation, and school pride come together—symbolize the dynamic relationship between city and school. These shared spaces reflect our unified commitment to student success, both in and out of the classroom.

At PCSC, we believe in preparing students not only for college and careers but for meaningful lives rooted in their community. Plymouth is a place where students can grow, thrive, and one day give back—whether they stay to build their future here or carry our values with them wherever they go.

I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to deepening our partnerships with families, businesses, and local organizations. Together, we are shaping a bright future for our students and for Plymouth.

Thank you for your support and for being a vital part of our school community.

Warm regards,
Mitch Mawhorter
