The historic flood experienced in Marshall County this year created devastation in a personal way for more than 200 families. While the flood waters have receded, many families are still dealing with loss and remain displaced.

The Marshall County Long Term Recovery Committee has formed under the United Way of Marshall County and is working through case managers and builders to assist families in the worst conditions, which accounts for about 78 homes. To date, more than $50,000 has been raised locally.

A Flood Relief Benefit Concert takes place Saturday, May 19, at River Park Square from 4-9 p.m.

This family-friendly event features FIVE LIVE BANDS including:

  • The Ukulele Klub of Elkhart
  • Cool Change
  • Lalo Cura
  • Babylon Sneakers (a Tribute to the Music of Steely Dan)
  • Slow Orbit

More fun/fundraisers include the Plymouth Juggling Club, food vendors, bounce house, photo booth, face painting, balloon twister, and more!

Suggested donation: $5 per person or $20 per family. Tickets are available at the gate for food/activities.
