Case Conference Coordinator Charlene Hansen
Retires After Serving PCSC for 17 Years

Charlene Hansen, a Case Conference Coordinator at Menominee Elementary School, has officially retired from her position at Plymouth Community School Corporation. Hansen started working for PCSC during the 2002-03 school year and retired at the end of the 2019-20 school year on April 10.

Kelly Reinholt, a Plymouth High School interventionist, said, “Charlene Hansen has been a true picture of grace and an invaluable colleague for Plymouth's teachers, which is then beneficial for their students. She is widely knowledgeable about procedures and programs vital to the efficient running of the corporation, tasks few others know. She has been relentlessly positive and professional in dealing with situations both commonplace and complex. She is genuinely thanked and will be thoroughly missed.”

Menominee Case Conference Chairperson Jodi Eveland said, “Charlene Hansen has been a wonderful co-worker. When I moved to Menominee to take on a position within Special Education, I worked very closely with Char. We have shared an office for the past four years. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. I wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

Throughout her 17 years, Hansen worked with thousands of students who have Individual Education Plans IEPs and made sure all paperwork and evaluations for students were up-to-date. She also made sure learning accommodations were being followed, so students had the support needed to meet their goals. She was also the primary point of contact for parents eligible for special education services.

Menominee Elementary School Principal Craig Hopple, said, “It has been a real pleasure working with Char. She has been a huge asset to Plymouth schools over her last 17 years. I wish her all the best.”
