St. Paddy's Day 5K Dash to benefit PCSC student battling brain tumor

Plymouth High School will host the St. Paddy's Day Dash on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 1 p.m. Registration for the 5K will take place at Plymouth High School at noon. Adult registration which includes a t-shirt is $20, a student entry is $15 and also includes a t-shirt as well. St. Paddy's Day Dash is being held in honor of Jaisyn Reese, a Lincoln Jr. High School seventh grade student who was diagnosed this year with an inoperative brain tumor. Proceeds raised will go directly to the Reese family to counteract escalating medical expenses. Currently, the 13-year-old LJHS student is at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis receiving radiation treatment.

The Plymouth Community School Corporation is rallying behind the Reese family by bringing back the St. Paddy's Day 5K Dash. The event has been held in the past to support other PCSC students and staff who were battling cancer or other serious health challenges at the time.

This year’s 5K will start at Plymouth High School. Participants can run, walk or travel at their own pace.

Bruce Ruffing will once again have Bruce’s “Big Grill” for the sale of pulled pork sandwiches and a bake sale will be available by the Lincoln Jr. High School National Honor Society.

Stand united with PCSC by being part of the St. Paddy's Day Dash that supports Jaisyn and his family as they fight to save his life.
