Theresa Bodnar
Lincoln Junior High Interventionist

Theresa Bodnar, an interventionist at Lincoln Junior High School, is retiring at the end of this school year. Bodnar was placed in Plymouth schools through JESSE, Joint Educational Services in Special Education, from 1985 to 2012, where she worked as an interventionist for 27 years. For the past five years and nine months, she has worked as an interventionist at Lincoln Jr. High School helping seventh and eighth-grade students.

An interventionist plays a key role in assisting students who are experiencing difficulties in the classroom. Rooted in a special education background, an interventionist provides expertise and intentional support to students who demonstrate behavioral, social, and educational challenges.

The role an interventionist plays in the classroom can be very rewarding. Bodnar is looking forward to retirement so she can spend time with her family and grandchildren.
