Plymouth High School announced the Teachers Credit Union Teacher of the Month for February and March this week. The winners are Language Arts Teacher Amy Schmeltz and PHS Spanish Teacher Rick Button.
Mrs. Schmeltz was chosen by the student body as the PHS TCU Teacher of the Month for February. She was selected for the positivity and caring attitude that she has when working with students. One of the students who nominated her said, "Mrs. Schmeltz always has a positive energy in class and encourages students to do their best!”
Mr. Button was chosen by the PHS student body as the PHS Teacher of the Month for March. He was selected for the creativity that he has when designing lessons and the positive attitude he shows his students each day.
TCU provides $25 each month for the purchase of a gift certificate for each award-winning teacher. La D'zert Cafe provides four gourmet cupcakes for the winner as well. Plymouth High School would like to thank both sponsors for their generosity and help with recognizing the PHS Teacher of the Month.
