PHS Key Club Make Teddy Bears & Fleece Blankets for Newborn Infants

The Plymouth High School Key Club tied fleece blankets and stuffed teddy bears with the materials supplied by the Zeta Zeta Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Over the three-hour service project, 89 baby blankets were completed and 65 teddy bears were made. All items will be donated to St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth. Each newborn in need of a comfort item will receive a blanket and bear. Key Club members really enjoyed this service project and they plan to continue making blankets and bears as needed. Key Club is an extension of Kiwanis and is an organization designed for students who desire to serve their community and peers. Key Club's history started in 1925 in the United States and has spread worldwide. The Key Club offers personal growth opportunities for students through serving and helping others and learning organizational skills.
