WSOI 6th Annual Clay for Cancer Fundraiser Will Be Held This Friday

Clay creations to be auctioned off.

More than 100 Weidner School of Inquiry @ PHS freshmen in Ms. Haley Church’s BioArt classes have been busy making clay artwork that will soon be up for bid via a silent auction at the 6th Annual Clay for Cancer event that will be held on Friday evening. The event is open to the public from 6:30-8:15 p.m. on March 16, 2018. If you are interested in attending, please enter PHS through the north entrance - door #5. The “Father of the Bride” play will be presented that evening at PHS. Bidders will be allowed to see the play and view the clay creations during intermission by door 5 and throughout the art hallways.

Students will present about various types of cancer and educate the public about how cancer does its evil work the day before the auction on Thursday, March 15 from 8:10-8:40 a.m. and 9:50-10:20 a.m. on the second floor in the Weidner School of Inquiry @ PHS. The presentations are open to the public.

Clay pieces will be sold by silent auction at the play Friday night. Bidding will occur from 6:30-8:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Cancer Association of Marshall County. Last year’s event raised more than $1,300 to fight cancer.
