PHS Business Students Complete Mock Interviews Hoping to Gain Insight On How to Land a Job
Plymouth High School’s College and Careers class is participating in mock interviews with some of the PHS staff members this week. PHS Business Teacher Joel Grindle said mock interviews allow students to practice interview techniques and get feedback and coaching on their interviewing skills. PHS staff members are playing the role of the prospective employer. The students are playing the role of the interviewee, the person who is hoping to land the job. The mock interview lasts from 20–25 minutes. Following the interview, the interviewer provides feedback to the student on how it went. Grindle said PHS staff member then complete a survey about what the student did or did not do during the mock interview and this is how he will assess their grade on this important assignment.
