Plymouth School of Inquiry Learning Outcomes
The Plymouth School of Inquiry learners will be evaluated on course content as well as the following learning outcomes across the School of Inquiry curriculum. Learning will be measured and reported via Echo, New Tech Network’s learning management system (LMS) designed to support project-based learning (PBL).
Content Knowledge
Student demonstrates mastery knowledge in essential skills of a given course or discipline. Literacy Writing: Student communicates language in a textual medium in a manner that is appropriate in form, style, vocabulary, and tone to correctly address the intended audience. Speaking: Student articulates thoughts and ideas using oral and nonverbal communication skills for a range of purposes and in diverse environments. Thinking Skills Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: Student exhibits disciplined thinking that is clear, rational, open-minded, and informed by evidence in order to solve the problem presented. Professionalism Collaboration: Student demonstrates the ability to work effectively and respectfully with others in any setting. Individual Work Ethic: Student demonstrates the ability to work diligently. |

Teachers, students, and parents at New Tech high schools use Echo on a daily basis to access course resources, project plans, assignments, a multi-dimensional grade book, online groups, and an extensive library of instructional resources for teachers. Echo provides a 21st Century report card that identifies students' strengths and weaknesses. Teachers utilize this data to differentiate instruction for each student.
