Kenneth Olson

Assistant Principal

Ken Olson has been an educator for over 20 years. He came to Plymouth after teaching US History, Government, World History, Economics, Business classes, ENL, and working with the Alternative School Program at Bremen High School. He has been an administrator at Plymouth High School since July 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Valparaiso University (1991), a Teaching Certification in US History, Government, World History, and Economics from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne (1997), a Teaching Certification in Business and Marketing from Grace College (2001), and a Masters in Education Administration from Bethel College (2009).

When not at PHS, Ken Olson enjoys reading almost everywhere he goes. For examples of this, see his @places.ihaveread Instagram. He also enjoys driving to see places in the USA, attending traveling theater productions, and spending time at home with his wife Collette, daughters Sophie and Julianne, their two cats, Scout and Tot, and dog, Ollie. He also enjoys frequent visits back to the city of his birth (Chicago) and the greatest place on earth, Wrigley Field, where he roots on his beloved Cubs.

In addition to his role as an Assistant Principal at PHS, he manages the PHSGoBigRed Instagram, the PHS_Usies Instagram, PHSGoBigRed Twitter account, and the PHS Facebook account along with attending as many students events as he can during the year and occasionally helping with the Speech and Debate teams. He has also been known to make cameo appearances in PHS Theater productions.
