Ms. Lynette Edmiston’s Plymouth High School math class celebrated Pi Day this week by eating pie! Edmiston said, "the lesson was to make sure everyone remembers the importance of pi and its role in mathematics. One beauty of pi is that it puts infinity within reach. The digits of pi never end and never show a pattern." Pi Day is March 14 and has been celebrated since 1988. Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.
