Nine Lincoln Jr. High School orchestra students along with Jodi Kallenberg, the Director of Orchestral Studies for Plymouth Community School Corporation, traveled to Goshen Middle School for the Indiana Chapter of the American String Teachers Association Northern Indiana All Region Orchestra on Saturday, November 11, 2017.

The students were selected as the top students out of all the orchestras in Northern Indiana. Kallenberg said, “Our nine orchestra students were selected and were sent music to prepare for this big evening. Once at the event they worked with guest conductors from the Michiana area to prepare the music with the other students and then presented a concert at 5 p.m.”

The students selected were two seventh grade students, Alexander DeJarnatt and Kyleigh Weiler-Kara, and the following seven eighth grade students Brooke Marohn, David Sniadecki, Leah Tanner, Vandalyn Daniels, Hannah Friberg, Jayla Mitchell, and Cristina Shortt.

Kallenberg said, “Being selected is quite an honor. The whole experience was a wonderful educational opportunity for them. This is the first time Lincoln Jr. High has been represented at this event, so I am extremely proud of my students.”
