LJH Golf05/15/2013 Last Friday, May 10, Lincoln Junior High golfers participated in the conference golf tournament at Raccoon Run Golf Course in Warsaw. Lincoln Junior high boys won the tournament. Micah Calhoun was the individual conference champ shooting a 37 through 9 holes. John Schenk was 2nd overall with a 38. The team is shown in the picture. Announcement from our A.D.05/14/2013 The golf and track athletic banquet will be held Wednesday, May 22 at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Athletes and their families are invited to attend. The banquet will be a dessert bar, and each athlete is asked to bring a dessert to share. The athletic department will provide drinks, plates, and utensils. There will be a meeting this Friday during Bonus in the Red Gym for 8th grade athletes. If you plan on playing a fall sport at the high school next year, you should attend this meeting. Fall sports include soccer, football, volleyball, cross country, girls golf, and boys tennis. Forms that you need for participation will be available at this time. Plymouth High School Athletic Department will be unable to schedule mass summer sport physicals for 2013. Athletes and their families are advised to please allow time to schedule appointments. If you do not get your forms at Friday's meeting, you can pick them up in the PHS main office between 8:00AM and 4:00PM Monday through Friday. When going to the high school for forms you should enter through Door 1. No student athlete in grades 9-12 will be permitted to practice without the following forms on file in the Plymouth High School Athletic office: 1. Physical; 2. Emergency medical release; 3. NELMSC Girls Track Results05/13/2013 Lincoln Junior High hosted the annual NELMSC track meet on Saturday, May 11th at Plymouth High School. The 8th grade girls placed 6th in the meet with 35 points. The team was led by strong showings from each of the players. 8th grader M. Calhoun won the individual title by shooting a best 37. He was followed by teamate J. Schenk who finished a close second shooting a 38. Team members H. Yoder shot a 44, J. Gerard shot a 47, and C. Hoover shot a 51. The team won the tournament by 4 strokes. Great Job Team! Youth Sheriff Leadership Conf05/08/2013 Are you interested in a possible career in law enforcement? If so, Indiana Sheriffs' Association will be sponsoring two sessions of the Sheriffs Youth Leadership Camp this summer; June 11-14 (Warren County) and July 9-11 (Brown County). Students must be in either 7th or 8th grade. The camp provides a very meaningful experience and relationship with other campers from throughout the state and sheriff's officers who serve as counselors and instructors. Applications must be submitted to the Association Office by June 1st for the Warren County Session and July 1st for the Brown County Session. LJH Golf Results05/08/2013 Monday night the LJH Golf teams faced Rochester at Plymouth Country Club. The boys team continued their unbeaten season by beating Rochester 218-304 (low score wins). Lincoln golfers swept the top 8 positions in the match. Winning the match with the 1st under 40 score of the season was John Gerard (39). Followed by John Schenk(43), Micah Calhoun(44), Hudson Yoder(45), Carson Hoover(47), Michael Johnson(47), Chase Johnson(50), and Grant Clady(57). The girls team was also victorious winning 268-284. Katie Johnson had her best round of the year winning 1st place with a 44. Good rounds were also posted by Leah Smith(50) and Zoe Keilman(53).
