The 8th Grade Lincoln Boys basketball team traveled to the Ben Franklin (Valparaiso) Tournament this weekend. In their first game they managed to defeat a feisty team from Grimmer Middle school by a score of 50-39. Kadin McCrammer led the way with 17 points and Garrett Tharp added 12. In the championship game, the Red Storm were defeated by the host school Ben Franklin 43-18. After a rough first quarter where the score was 18-5, Lincoln buckled down on defense for the rest of the game. The offense couldn't quite catch up and Kadin McCrammer was the leading scorer with 12 points. The A team is now 9-2 on the season and face Whitko Monday night on the road.
The 7th grade Red Storm basketball team turned in a stellar defensive effort dismantling the Lakeview Tigers last night 49-13. Every player turned a fantastic effort and all 11 players scored in the impressive win. Leading the way defensively for the Red Storm were Cam Dennie with 3 steals and Larry Dragani with 2. Blake Reed led the team in rebounds with 7 and Cole Filson pulled down 6. Clay Hilliard led the team in scoring with 10. The Red Storm are back in action this Saturday at Ben Franklin in Valpo.
Tonight's victory over Warsaw Lakeview was especially sweet for the Eighth-Grade. The 8th grade won 39-35 after a thrilling defensive battle in the second half avenging a loss to the team that beat them In last years conference tournament. Dylan Powell led the way offensively with 15 points on the night, including the game icing two free throws with 3.5 seconds remaining. Kayden Mccrammer chipped in nine points. Benji Nixon, Joel Funston, and Payton Skirvin chipped in good, strong defense. Garrett Tharp was the leading rebounder for the Red Storm and helped to continue the great defensive effort . The 8th grade returns to action this weekend in the Ben Franklin tournament in Valpo.
The Eighth grade Red Storm traveled to Argos for an A team game. The Red Storm won 54–12 with a strong offensesive and defensesive output. Garrett Tharp led the way for the winners with 12 points. Dylan Powell added stellar defense and nine points. The Red Storm return to action Thursday night versus Warsaw Lakeview. --
The 7th grade Red Storm picked up a great win last night at Argos 53-15. Everyone on the team scored as the Red Storm dominated the Dragons. Leading the Red Storm was Austin Arriaga with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Cole Filson also chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Donnie Hilty, Chapman Yoder, Blake Reed, and Brayson Leazenby all had their best games of the season. The Red Storm are back in action tonight versus Lakeview at 4:30.
The 7th grade Red Storm defeated Indian Springs last night by a score of 43-15. Cam Dennie and Cole Filson led the way for the Red Storm with 12 points each. Clay Hilliard had 6 points and 5 assists for the team. The Red Storm are back in action Wednesday at Argos.
The 8th Grade Red Storm scored early and often in their Monday night match-up versus the visitors from Indian Springs, winning by a score of 68-32. The offensive explosion started with 22 points in the 1st quarter and continued throughout the game. Kadin Mccrammer finished with a game and team high 20 points to lead the home team. Dylan Powell added 17 and Brady Holiday had 8. Lincoln's best offense on the night was their strong defensive pressure that was lead by their guards; Benji Nixon, Dylan Powell, and Joel Funston. The Red Storm are now 6-1 and return to action Wednesday night when they face Argos. at 5:30 PM
Lincoln's 8th grade teams split with Wawasee on Monday evening. The A team were 41-15 victors, while the B team lost 39-36. In the A game, Kadin Mccrammer led the way with 12 points. Brady Holiday added 10 points and Dylan Powell chipped in 9. The Red Storm were led by a strong defensive effort from Joel Funston and Benji Nixon. In the B game, Sean Masson and Zane Devault both had 11 points in the losing effort. The A team is now 4-1 on the season and the B team is 1-1. Both teams return to action Tuesday night versus Urey. The A game begins at 4:30.
