Lincoln’s 8th grade volleyball team fell to NELMSC opponent Warsaw Lakeview Monday night 25-23, 25-18. Missed serves was the story in Game 1 as the Red Storm missed 6 total. Olivia Newcomb was a perfect 3 for 3 on the night. Sara Hunter (8 for 9 with 1 ace) and Chloe Holten (5 for 6 with 1 ace) chipped in to help keep the games close. Offesively, Lincoln was led by middle hitters Maddy Figg (7 kills and 1 block) and Chloe Holten (3 kills and 1 block) and setter Clare Sheedy (9 assists). Defensively, Lincoln was led by libero Corinne Rhodes with numerous good passes and digs.
The Red Storm will be looking for redemption next week in the NELMSC tournament.
