Lincoln’s 8th grade volleyball team came up a little short Wednesday night at LaPorte Boston, losing 19-25, 25-21, 13-15. Serving again was the difference in this game, as the Red Storm missed 6 crucial serves in the pivotal 3rd game. Chloe Holten (13 for 14 with 2 aces), Madie Mann (9 for 11 with 3 aces) and Sara Hunter (8 for 10 with 2 aces) led the serving stats. Offensively, Lincoln was paced by Maddy Figg (9 kills and a block), Chloe Holten (5 kills and a block) and Clare Sheedy (13 assists).
The Red Storm defense was led by the efforts of Sara Hunter and Maddy Figg.
Lincoln also lost the B game 16-25, 20-25. Leading servers for Lincoln were Hannah Friberg (10 for 10 with 3 aces), Kami Burkett (7 for 7), and Erin Liedtky (6 for 6). Leah Tanner led the Red Storm offense with 4 kills.
