Last night, the boys and girls competed in their last meet before conference! Both teams walked away with a win. The majority of athletes earned a best time with amazingly fast runs. We can't wait to see what they do at conference on Tuesday!
Scoring for the girls team: Brighton Bird (4th; 12:55), Brooke Edison (5th; 12:57), Aumrie Weiss (6th; 13:00), Summer South (7th; 13:00), and Mackenzie Hindman (11th; 14:02). There ended up being a team score tie of 33 points between LJH and Boston Middle School. The fastest 6th place finisher decided the meet, which was Tessa Hitchinson (12th; 14:17). Tessa's fast finish earned LJH a win over Boston and LaPorte Kesling.
Scoring for the boys team: Colin Chupp (1st; 10:57), Trey Hall (3rd; 11:06), Nolan Bales (4th; 11:23), David Schadek (6th; 11:37), and Ivan Turcios (9th; 11:59). LJH earned a winning final score of 23 over Kesling (48) and Boston (65).
Both teams are in search of a conference championship on Tuesday night! NELMSC will be held at Camp Crosley in North Webster. Racing begins with boys running first at 5:30.
