Classes offered at Heartland gallery at 101 N. Michigan St. in downtown Plymouth during spring break.

Calligraphy Class: This coming Saturday, March 25, 10:30-Noon. Students will learn the fine art of calligraphy with teacher Gloria Seitz. This class is for kids ages 12 and up and adults too. All supplies are provided. Call the Gallery at 935-9515 to sign up. The cost is $25 and all supplies are included.

Draw a Lion: Next Tuesday, March 29, from 10 a.m.-noon for kids 6-12. Students will learn to draw, understand shapes and balance. All supplies for the class will be included. The cost is $25. Call the Gallery at 935-9515 to sign up.

Jeff Kenney Brown Bag Lunch Event

The 2017 Brown Bag Series kicks-off on Friday, March 10 from noon – 1 PM with a timely piece by historian, Jeff Kenney, “Culver Academies’ Black Horse Troop at the Presidential Inaugural.”  The presentation will explore the over one-hundred year history of the Black Horse Troop as an escort not only to presidents, but to emperors, kings and queens, representing the Culver Academies to the world.  Bring your sack lunch to the museum for an entertaining and educational program one Friday a month in the Community Room at the Marshall County Museum, 123 N. Samantha, the therapy dog, will be coming to the library on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. to see the kids and to let them read to her.  She is a frequent visitor out at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center here in Plymouth.
