Daniel Tyree
Superintendent

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Plymouth Community School Corporation. My staff and I are committed to the educational and social development of every student that walks through our doors. We believe in the “Whatever it Takes” part of our mission statement and use that as a filter with every student or parent that finds a challenge in securing their student’s education. If you haven’t done so, please become familiar with our Mission Statement and Core Values. These are the beliefs that guide everything we do. As our partners in education, both parents and community members will be called upon frequently to help us be successful with our mission.

We strive to make learning relevant for all students. In order to achieve our goals, we have equipped each of our students with a digital learning device. Students in grades K–1 are equipped with iPads. Students in grades 2 – 12 are equipped with Mac Books. Because each student has their own digital learning device, they can achieve at their own pace and make each assignment relevant to their life.

We know that students all learn differently. With this in mind, we provide choices throughout each step of a student’s education. Parents and students may opt for one of two learning pathways. Both traditional and project-based approaches provide dynamic staff that will guide each student to excel. These two approaches to learning have won state and national awards for their ability to see students achieve at a higher level than other local schools. Our belief that education also takes place out of the classroom is evident with some of the most outstanding extracurricular and co-curricular opportunities we offer our students.

Finally, we have adopted the philosophy that our staff and students will have a Growth Mindset. Our pledge to the community is that we will offer high caliber professional development so that every staff member will grow and learn each year. We also pledge to offer rigorous and relevant curriculum so that each student will mature and advance in their learning on a yearly basis. Regardless of whether students are in an AP curriculum, a vocational curriculum, or other learning pathway, their yearly improvement will see them graduate and well prepared for college, any type of post high school education, or a career.

Parents and community members are welcome to visit at any time. Our new security measures ask you to provide your license when you visit our schools. A scheduled visit will guarantee that you can see exactly what you want to see. Establishing a partnership with the school will allow you to be a part of our educational mission and goals. As superintendent, it is my wish that our community feels comfortable with what we are accomplishing at each of our schools. If we all work together, our schools will continue to grow and be successful.
