On Saturday, December 16, 2017, the Plymouth High School Student Council held their 2017 Christmas Party for Children in Need at Plymouth High School.

This event is an annual party sponsored by the PHS Student Council with assistance from a wide variety of businesses and clubs from the Marshall County area and beyond. The students who are invited to the party ranged from 5 to 9 years old. They were selected by the social workers from the five local elementary schools in Plymouth. The children were selected based on social, economic, and/or emotional needs.

The Plymouth High School Student Council planned a day full of activities, crafts, games, food, and entertainment. The goal was to provide a day that was exciting and meaningful. The students got to go home with a brand new toy that was given to them by Santa, a goody bag filled with coloring books, crayons, toothbrush, toothpaste, snacks, and other cool trinkets. Each child is also given a new hat, new mittens/gloves and a special Plymouth t-shirt that they received and wore the day of the party, which matched all of the high school students shirts.

Our PHS student council members worked hard to make this special day possible. We thank all of our students so very much, and we also thank our staff and community businesses and supporters that supplied generous donations to make this very special event possible.
