Thanks first- and fourth-grade families for turning out to the great 2011 Winter Concert at Jefferson. Mr. Pickell sure gets everyone involved with those jazz hands, and, boy do our Jets clean up nicely! Our Jefferson fourth-grade choir did an excellent job singing some holiday favorites and the recorder playing was an amazing feat! Winter Concert for Grades One and Four12/05/2011 Come to Jefferson at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 for our Winter Music Program! First grade students need to be at the school by 5:45 p.m. and in their classrooms -- dressed in holiday wear. (Don't feel like you need to buy something.) Fourth-graders need to be in their classrooms by 6:45 p.m. for the 7 p.m. performance. If you cannot make it to the evening performance, you may attend the 1:25 p.m. dress rehearsal, but we ask you to send a note in with your student that morning so we can have enough chairs set up. Fourth grade boys who want to play on the Jefferson team should meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 in the Jefferson gym to practice. Your coach is Mr. Morwood. Fourth Graders Learns About Indiana History at Mississinewa Field Trip Through Hands-On Experiences10/09/2011 The world is changing and knowing how to type is a critical part of being successful in any workplace. What's more, it will help your children in school as on-line standardized testing becomes commonplace. We at Jefferson want your kids to be as computer literate as possible so we've purchased a fun program to teach them. Go to Learning.com and let your student log into the formal keyboarding program used at school for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade A keyboarding link is also housed on the student page here and gives a list of keyboarding practice sites students can use at home. |
