Elf is in the Hooooouse! WORD!12/15/2011 Jets got to make some holiday ornaments this week thanks to the help of lots of great Jefferson parents and a fun set of crafts from the PTO. Thanks families for getting involved in your student's school! Check out the winners of this week's lifeskill -- Sense of Humor. Thanks to these Jets for helping us laugh! Real Soldier, Dad Visits Classroom12/09/2011 Ashton Robertson's dad, Specialist Ralph Robertson, visited Mrs. Spasic's second-grade classroom Dec. 8 to talk about his upcoming deployment to Afghanistan Jan. 3. Thanks first- and fourth-grade families for turning out to the great 2011 Winter Concert at Jefferson. Mr. Pickell sure gets everyone involved with those jazz hands, and, boy do our Jets clean up nicely! Our Jefferson fourth-grade choir did an excellent job singing some holiday favorites and the recorder playing was an amazing feat! Winter Concert for Grades One and Four12/05/2011 Come to Jefferson at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 for our Winter Music Program! First grade students need to be at the school by 5:45 p.m. and in their classrooms -- dressed in holiday wear. (Don't feel like you need to buy something.) Fourth-graders need to be in their classrooms by 6:45 p.m. for the 7 p.m. performance. If you cannot make it to the evening performance, you may attend the 1:25 p.m. dress rehearsal, but we ask you to send a note in with your student that morning so we can have enough chairs set up. Breakfast with Santa 2011 was another great event planned by the Jefferson PTO. Jefferson Staff, Plymouth High School Student athletes, student volunteers, PTO members, and Santa volunteered their Saturday morning to help bring the spirit of the holidays to Jefferson families. Free events included; pictures with Santa, pancake and sausage breakfast, Santa's store of $1 items with shopping and wrapping assistants, crafts -- oh, and a BAKE SALE! Who could ask for more! | |||||
