In a spirited Homecoming Pep Rally on the Rock the Senior Class completed a Homecoming Sweep as the won the coveted Spirit Stick for the second time this year.
With the theme for the night Imagination and a conference battle on tap the Rock Block showed their school spirit and dressed up in a variety of imaginative costumes to win the Fox 28 Fans of the Night award.
Seniors Cassie Gaines and Jared Hill were crowned Winter Homecoming King and Queen at half time of the varsity basketball game on Friday evening.
Two PHS Wrestlers, DeAndre Pickford and Jacob Seagraves, captured sectional titles in their weight classes as the Pilgrim Wrestlers finished 3rd in the Plymouth Wrestling Sectional. Advancing to the Regional next Saturday with the two sectional winners were Ian Horvath, John Mills, Luke Schumacher, Jacob Pearson, and Drew Dodson.
Members of the KEY Club, Student Council, and Class Officers teamed up with PHS student Hannah Jacobs to host the first ever PHS Dance Marathon for Riley Children's Hospital. The students contacted local businesses to arrange for donations of food and money, worked with representatives from Ball State University, co-ordinated the event with Riley Children's Hospital and with local Riley familes, and raised pledges for hours danced. Additionally, they had ABC 57 come cover the event (link to video) as they exceeded their $10,000 goal.
