Financial Aid Meeting Information:As the costs of college and vocational/technical schools continue to increase, students and their parents are searching for ways to finance their education.  Therefore, Financial Aid Night is an important meeting for seniors and their parents to attend.  Financial Aid representatives from Ancilla College will present the program. Information will be provided on available sources of financial assistance and the most effective method of applying for them.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the document used to apply for both federal and state aid.  It is also the document used to determine the amount a family is expected to contribute toward the cost of their student's education. The FAFSA will be discussed in detail.  The FAFSA website can be accessed here.

PSAT Results Released:
All students and parents from area high schools are invited to attend this informational meeting.  That same evening at 7:00 in the Black Box Theater, the Plymouth High School Guidance Staff will be reviewing score reports from the 2011 PSAT test given in October.  All PHS sophomores and select juniors took the test; students and parents are encouraged to attend this informational session.  Individual score reports will be provided.

*  ACP CLASSES: If you are enrolled in Honors English 12, Chemistry II, and/or Physics, please make sure you’ve turned in your application for dual credit to the Guidance Office by Monday, August 22.  The state has put into effect (starting in July) a new law that requires colleges to charge no more than $25 per credit hour for dual credit classes.  Therefore, your cost for a 3 hour IUSB/ACP class (e.g. Honors English 12 A) will only be $75.  PLEASE take advantage of this great opportunity.  See Mrs. Portteus with questions.
