The Indiana University of South Bend Flute Choir performed for the PHS band and choir students on Friday, April 27, 2012. After the performance, the flute choir instructed a master class and clinic with flute students from the Plymouth bands.
Ms. Rebecca Hovan, director of the flute choir, gave individual instruction to each of the Plymouth flute players that attended the clinic and the PHS students were invited to play along side the flute choir. This clinic was provided free-of-charge as an educational outreach service on behalf of the music department at IUSB.

Good News! The preliminary results of the soil testing at Washington Elementary School are in, "no meth detected". Last month the remains of a meth lab were found in the woods between the school and the railroad track. Following the clean up by PCSC staff, ENVIROCORP from South Bend conducted soil testing. The full report is due in the near future. When we receive that report it will be posted on the PCSC website.

The PHS Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble both attended the Indiana State School Music Association’s concert band competition on Friday, April 20th. Both bands earned the top score of a Gold rating from all three judges for an overall Gold Award placing.
This was the final step towards PHS being a recipient of the prestigious “All-Music Award” given only to schools that attend all forms of ISSMA competition (marching band, jazz band, solo and ensemble competitions, and concert band) and earn Gold Awards at every event. This is the 9th consecutive year that the PHS band has earned this award and the PHS band is one of only a few schools in the state that has earned this award annually since it began.
Congratulations to all of the PHS band members on completing another school year of solid Gold Award ratings at ISSMA events.
Congratulations to our elementary schools for their great results on the IREAD State Exam. As a corporation, Plymouth had 93% of its third graders pass this test. Students will have a second opportunity to improve on their scores this summer.
