It’s that time of year again, the sun is shining, the grass is green, and
flowers are blooming. The annual Washington Field Day is once again
upon us. To make this day a success, we are going to need some help.
If there are any volunteers that would like to help, it would be greatly
appreciated. The date of the “2012 Washington Field Day” is going to be,
Wednesday, May 30th. The time for the Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades
will be 9:00 to 10:30. The 3rd and 4th grades will be participating from
1:00 to 2:30. If you would be willing to help, please contact Mr. Kershner at mkershner@plymouth.k12.in.us.

Washington students are participating in a fundraiser to fight children's cancer!  This fundraising event not only educates our children about giving back to their community, but also incorporates the importance of regular physical activity.

Students from all classsrooms are competing to see which two classrooms can raise the most money.  At the end of the fundraiser, the top two fundraising classes will get to play in a kickball game on Friday, May 4th.  All other participating classes will cheer them on.  Pledge sheets are due 5/2.

To learn more about our fundraiser or to donate online please visit. http://kickball.curesearch.org/washingtonelementary.

Author Tim Smith (commonly referred to as Buck Wilder) visited Washington School.  He encouraged the students to use their imagination and get outdoors!  He demonstrated how to create a drinking cup out of a piece of paper.  Washington's adventure stories writers were also recognized.
