The LJH 8th-grade boys basketball team lost to LaPorte Boston 36-33 on Thursday night.  The Red Storm (11-2) built a comfortable 21-14 halftime lead, but the Bruins owned the third quarter, outscoring the Red Storm 12-4, capturing a one-point lead headed to the fourth.  With the score knotted at 33 with a little under a minute remaining, the Bruins buried a three-pointer to take the lead, and the Red Storm couldn't counter.  Braydon Davidson scored 11 points for the Red Storm, and Matt Friar and Sam Stone each added six.
The 8th-grade B-team followed with a thriller of their own, defeating the Bruins 40-33 in overtime.  With just under 20 seconds remaining and facing a three-point deficit, Red Storm guard Nate Knapp buried a three-pointer that knotted the game and sent it into overtime.  In the extra frame, Zach Combs buried two of his four three-pointers, and the Bruins couldn't keep pace.  Zach Combs led the Red Storm (6-0) with 18 points, and Nate Knapp added eight.  Josh Salyers chipped in five.
 
 
The Lincoln 7th Grade A Team ran their record to 11-2 with a strong defensive effort in a win over LaPorte Boston 24-12 thursday night.  The Redstorm again came out of the half with a strong 3rd quarter outscoring their opponent 10-0 on their way to victory.  Lincoln held Boston to 4 points through 3 quarters.  Nick Felke scored 9 points and Ryan Carmichael added 6 in the winning effort.
 The B-Team stayed undefeated with a 28-16 win over Boston .  They held Boston scoreless in the first quarter and led 26-7 after three quarters.  The B-Team got a strong effort from their backcourt of Hudson Yoder and Doug Overmeyer who scored 7 points and 6 points respectively.   Both teams will return to the hardwood on January 3rd at LaVille.
 
 
7th grade students J. Garcia and G. Garver were the recipients of the TCU Kindle rewards.  Both students were the daily top point earner several times over the first semester.  The rewards are part of the TCU sponsored Achieve 3000 program.  Achieve 3000 is a reading program focused on informational non-fiction text.  All 7th grade students work in the program a minimum of 2 times per week and students are also able to work from home on their MacBooks.  Great job 7th grade students on making it a very successful 1st semester with Achieve 3000 and thank you TCU for rewarding students for their hard work.  
 
 
The LJH 8th-grade boys basketball team defeated Triton 42-27 on Monday night.  The Red Storm (11-1) outscored the Trojans 13-4 in the third quarter to keep the Trojans from rallying.  Jack Barron led the Red Storm with 12 points, and Matt Friar added nine.  Braydon Davidson chipped in six points, and Cam Eveland, Steve Helm, and Sam Stone each added four.

The 8th-grade B-team followed with a win of their own, defeating the Trojans 36-22.  AJ Styers pace the undefeated Red Storm (6-0) with eight points, and Zach Combs and Kameron Ray added seven and six, respectively.

The 8th-graders travel to LaPorte on Thursday night to battle Boston.
 
 
The Lincoln 7th Grade A Team ran their record to 10-2 with a win over Triton 31-18.  The Redstorm used a 17-6 3rd quarter run to open up a 24-9 lead on their way to victory.  Nick Felke scored 12 points in the second half to lead the home team.  John Gerard scored 7 while Jake Young and Ryan Carmichael scored 4 each.The B-Team stayed undefeated with a 30-22 win over the Trojans.  Hudson Yoder scored the first 7 points of the game and led the Redstorm with 9 points.  Michael Johnson, Michael Lamb and Ben Newsome all added 4 in the winning effort.Both teams play again Thursday night at home against LaPorte Boston.
 
 
The 8th-grade boys B-team won the annual Lincoln tournament on Saturday.  In round one, Lincoln (5-0) defeated Urey 49-13.  Zach Combs led the Red Storm with 11 points, and Logan Crum added eight.  Mitchell Scott chipped in seven points, and Josh Salyers added.  In the championship, Lincoln defeated a tall and tough LaPorte Boston team 25-17.  Zach Combs again led the Red Storm with 11 points, and Nate Knapp added six.
 
 
1.  Attention all cheerleaders.  You must remove everything from the athletic lockeroom before you leave school tonight.  All dressing rooms will be used by teams participating in the tournament.

2.  There will be no free admission to tournaments.  All students and Parents attending the tournament on Saturday will charged admission.  Booster Club passes will not be accepted at tournaments.

 
 
The Lincoln 7th Grade Boys Basketball team won 48-15 Thursday in a lopsided game over Rochester.  Leading the way was Nick Felke with 17 while David Bacon and Grant Clady chipped in with 8 and 7 respectively.
 
 
The LJH 8th-grade boys basketball picked up its tenth win on Thursday night and handed Rochester its first loss on the season, defeating the Zebras 43-31.  The Red Storm (10-1) built an eight-point halftime lead and kept the Zebras from running in the second half.  Jack Barron led the Red Storm with 15 points and five rebounds, and Braydon Davidson added eight points and four rebounds.  Matt Friar and Sam Stone chipped in 11 and five points respectively.  The Red Storm travels to Bourbon on Monday night to battle the Trojans, and the B-team hosts a four-way tournament on Saturday.

Hopefully you have been hearing a lot from your student about the School of Inquiry and our
plans for next year, now it's your turn to hear about the school, and ask questions of your
own. On behalf of the Plymouth School of Inquiry, a member of the New Tech Network, I
would like to invite you to a parent meeting to be held on Wednesday, December 14th at 5:45
pm in the Media Center at Lincoln Junior High School. This meeting will be an opportunity
for you to learn about the School of Inquiry in a short 10 minute presentation and then have
a question and answer period to follow. Topics that will be covered in this short presentation
will cover the courses to be offered, application process, and general information about the
School of Inquiry. If you are unable to attend this meeting, but would like more information
